We have been having so much fun this summer in our Zoo Train Kindermusik classes! We even did a trip to the Memphis Zoo and invited everyone from all the classes to join us. Lots of families went to the zoo - but you know who’s kids I took pictures of?

We had so much fun at the 4th of July Parade! There was a GREAT turnout for the Kindermusik contingent. Enjoy these photos and check back in a few days for more.

Notice all the Kindermusik shirts? Green, blue, pink, purple - they were all around along with the red, white and blue!

Stinger has a sweet little brother! Shea is happy and well as is the new addition. We will miss them all and wish them great things in their new home at the other end of the state.

Ella has a new little sister! We were thrilled to find the whole family marching in the parade with us on the 4th of July. Lily slept through the parade but doesn’t sleep through big sister’s stories!

Sign & Sing will be available again in August. We will meet on Thursday evenings at 5:30 beginning August 7. The class will run for 5 weeks. Check it out here.

Well, in theory anyway! You have probably noticed that very few posts have been going up this summer. It has been a time to spend with the kids and trying to take it easy. Please note the TRYING. With three kids in the house Mommy and taking it easy do not go well together. It is time to start gearing up for fall now so check back often for lots of fun posts. While you wait here are some fun moments from our summer time.

This is a video of the Cactus Cuties, very talented young ladies ranging in age from 8 to 13 singing The Star Spangled Banner. The performance was at the Texas Tech vs Texas basketball game January 20, 2008 in front of over 11,000 people. The Cuties are Andi, Baylee, Blaire, Madeline and Tatum.

Have you been to the Saturday Farmer’s Market in the Midtown Shopping Center lately? More and more items are available each week. Check it out with the kids tomorrow morning. Take home something new and have a family food experament day!

A couple of years ago, when Audrey turned two, you told me something I’ll never forget: “you always love your kids, but something happens when they turn two. You fall IN LOVE with them.” As I’ve now gone through that transition with three kids, I have to agree. But it’s not just that specific age; there are just certain things kids can do starting at two that makes us start to see them as little humans, not just babies or even toddlers. And as they grow ever older, and they start to evolve into the people they’re meant to be, the love we mothers feel for them just deepens. I think it’s admiration for them as much as it is mere affection. We’re no longer seeing them like pictures of ourselves at that age; we now see who they are inside; their burgeoning personalities.
